Terms & Conditions - the basics

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings, enquiries, and participation in trips operated by ONSHORE (“we”, “us”, “our”). By applying for, booking, or participating in an ONSHORE journey, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
1. About ONSHORE
ONSHORE operates guided campervan surf journeys in Portugal. We provide trip organisation, guiding, logistics coordination, and the overall experience. Surf instruction, campervan rental, and certain services are provided by licensed third-party partners.
2. Booking & Application Process
All trips are booked via an application process. Submitting an application does not guarantee a place on a trip. We reserve the right to accept or decline applications at our discretion. A booking is only confirmed once written confirmation is provided and the required payment is received.
3. Payments
All prices are in euros (€). Payments are non-transferable and must be made by the stated deadline. Failure to pay may result in release of your place.
4. Cancellations by the Guest
More than 30 days before trip start: 70% refund
Less than 30 days before trip start: no refund
Guests are advised to obtain personal travel insurance.
5. Cancellations or Changes by ONSHORE
We may cancel or modify trips due to weather, safety, operational issues, or insufficient numbers. Guests will be offered a refund or alternative date. We are not responsible for additional personal costs.
We recommend that you have travel insurance In the case of trip cancellation and you have already paid for your flights or other expenses, as these will not be compensated by ONSHORE.
6. What’s Included
Trip inclusions are listed on the website. Anything not explicitly listed is excluded (e.g. flights).
7. Campervan Use & Driving
Guests must comply with road laws and rental agreements. ONSHORE is not responsible for fines, penalties, or damages. The Van Rental Company’s insurance policy applies to the Renter during the Rental Period.
8. Surfing & Physical Activity
Participation involves inherent risks. Surf instruction is provided by licensed third parties. Guests participate at their own risk.
9. Health & Responsibility
Guests confirm they are fit to participate and must disclose relevant medical conditions. Unsafe behaviour may result in removal without refund.
10. Alcohol & Behaviour
Alcohol may be provided in moderation. Disruptive or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated.
11. Insurance
ONSHORE holds legally required insurance. Guests must arrange their own travel and health insurance.
12. Liability
ONSHORE is not liable for injury, illness, or loss except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
13. Photography & Media
Guests consent to use of photos/videos unless they opt out in writing before the trip.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law.
